On this day in 1814, Francis Scott Key wrote “The Star Spangled Banner,” the poem that would later be set to music and become our National Anthem. Come into the museum and hear us play a turn-of-the-century version on our Regina Music Box!

Photo of the Regina music box, a large wooden box with a metal disc inside. the disc is silver in color with the words "Regina U.S. Patents, Dated Dec 17, 1889 June 27, 1893. On the right it says "Star Spangled Banner, Hymn 1076."
