Happy Black History Month!

February is Black History Month, so we want to draw some attention to some of the often-overlooked contributions of African Americans in this region. Did you know the first Baptist church in Virginia City was founded by the town’s African American population in 1863? You can read about one of the church’s founders, W.H.C. Stephenson, here!
