The Churchill County Museum’s Education Department presents:
The ‘Dog Days of Summer’ Crafts 2016!
For ages 8-12 / 13-14 will be Helpers/Junior Docents.
Pre-registration (form/fee) is required – space and supplies are limited!
Free to CCMA “Jr. Members” or $5 fee per class.
Learn, craft, and have some fun during the dog days of summer! Pre-register at the museum front desk, classes fill quickly – do not delay! A registration form (see below) must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian and fee paid (if applicable) before participating; forms are also available at the museum front desk. Parents are welcome, but not obligated to stay. All classes are from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
July 26th: Sew an owl – a Sock Owl that is! / Learn a little about owls and sew one with a modern twist!
July 28th: Paint a Watercolor Mosaic! / Where does paint come from? Find out and ‘paint’ a masterpiece!
August 2nd: Make your own Dreamcatcher! / Learn about the Legend of the Dreamcatcher while you make your own!
August 4th: Explore the world of Slime! / Mix up some Thermochromic (heat sensitive), Glitter, Magnetic, Glow-in-the-dark, Chocolate … Slime!
