Things to do at the Churchill County Museum...
Museum Tours
Touring the Museum
Tours of the Churchill County Museum are offered free to groups of 12 people or more. This includes school groups, clubs, bus tour groups, boy and girl scout troops, large family reunions, and more! Tours must be booked in advance and can be focused on one or two aspects of our local history or they can cover all the exhibits in the museum.
For an extra 50 cents per person, museum tours can include a hands-on component which allows everyone to participate in the learning of a pioneer skill.
Walking Tours of Downtown Fallon
Groups of 12 people or more can also schedule a walking tour of historic downtown Fallon. A guide will take the group along Maine Street, bringing the past to life. These tours must be booked in advance and the tour does require at least 60 minutes of walking with only a few places available to sit and rest.
Contact the museum’s education curator at education@ccmuseum.org or call 775-423-3677 for more information or to schedule your tour today!
Hidden Cave Tours
Carson City District Bureau of Land Management sponsors twice-monthly FREE public tours to Hidden Cave, 12 miles east of Fallon. The museum offers special group tours for $1.00 per person.
