| As chair of the Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT), Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt will present the awards. She has stated that these awards, "recognize the winners for their entrepreneurial spirit in creating new and more exciting attractions and amenities that enhance Nevada’s tourism economy." NCOT Executive Director Bruce Bommarito said the awards demonstrate how public and private sectors work together to provide the hotels and casinos activities and adventures that make Nevada one of the world’s most popular destinations. "The public and private sectors forge a partnership in Nevada’s tourism industry," Bommarito said. "The private sector builds and expands resort hotels, casinos, restaurants, shopping malls, sports and recreational facilities. The public sector creates parks and recreation areas, museums and visitor centers, a new whitewater park, and a lot of infrastructure that enables visitors to travel around the state and experience the attractions." Along with the museum, other local private sector businesses receiving this award are Bonanza Casino/ Super 8 Motel, Frog Daddy Sports Bar, Holiday Inn Express and Sandwinds Restaurant and Sports Bar. Congratulations to the museum and the other businesses in Fallon that promote tourism in Fallon and Churchill County! |
