Editor’s Note: This is the fourth in a series
of oral histories [Summer 2000] we have published from students at the Churchill County
Junior High School. Mr. Gary Jamieson, their history teacher, assigns this
project every year to his social studies classes. After the assignment is
completed, Gary gives us some of the best memoirs and leaves it up to
museum staff members to decide which stories will be published. It is
always a difficult choice as the stories are very good! The following
stories were the final choices made by museum staff members. (Please note:
We do not accept responsibility for the historic accuracy of every story.)
Enjoy!
